  My husband had to hand over his credit card as soon as we arrived so we were separated as I was taken to accident and emergency to be assessed. After a cursory and uninterested question or two, I was left lying on a bed in semi darkness for ages not knowing what was happening. My husband had been sent off to the room I was allocated too so we were both alone and left uninformed at a really stressful time.

  Pretty poor really. It's a business more than a hospital. Rooms are lovely and the hospital is very swanky but the nurses are uninterested mostly and it's all about the money. Insurance is big business. They took X-rays before I left and refused to give copies to the air ambulance who picked me up to get me back to London. Obviously they can charge insurance people for all procedures but that seemed to be the only reason I was rushed down to X-ray literally before I was picked up.

  I needed help to use a bed pan as I had casts on both my legs. I was left on a pan for ages in pain and when I tried to get off myself, the pan spilled all over the bed which I then had to lie in. I was crying by this stage with frustration and humiliation. When eventually the nurse came back she was so annoyed and called 3 of her colleagues in to change the sheets. They literally stripped me naked rolling me around the bed changing the sheet under me and speaking to each other in Spanish while I cried. Not once did they show any empathy or care.

  I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.My 89 year old mum was at this hospital for 3 days.On arrival we were met with a man who first words were “Do you know this is a private hospital”His attitude was nothing short of disgusting.Some 3 hours later my mum was admitted to a bed.She had 2 broken wrists and a large gash in her forehead after a fall down some steps.Apart from 2 nurses who were very nice to her the rest of them should be ashamed of themselves.We could not believe it when on the first night they left her to try and eat her dinner on her own with no help.This a.m she told us that they gave her sachet as a painkiller but did not open it up and just left it there for her to open and put it in the glass of water!She has 2 broken wrists with a pot on each one for goodness sake.I cannot understand why the Insurance company would want to use this hospital and I shall be writing to them about this dreadful time my mum has had at this so called hospital

  Man bliver overladt til sig selv, og det er svært at komme i kontakt med personalet, der har mere travelt med hinanden. Det synes som en "pengemaskine" det er svært at komme ud af.
